TRENDS and the Egyptian Information and Decision Support Center Sign Research Cooperation Agreement

TRENDS Research and Advisory and the Information and Decision Support Center of the Egyptian cabinet signed a memorandum of cooperation that charts possible ways to enhance research cooperation, training, organize scientific events and forums. The two sides shall mutually benefit from databases, information and research output.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Information and Decision Support Center in Cairo. It was initialed by Mr. Osama El-Gohary, Assistant to the Prime Minister of Egypt and IDSC Chairman and Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides and a group of researchers and media professionals.

 The agreement stipulates for cooperation between TRENDS and the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) in Egypt in the fields of research on topics of common interest, exchange of experts and researchers from both parties, as well as exchange of publications, books and research studies. Moreover, the two sides shall exchange experience in the fields of consultancy and training, as well as the holding of events, seminars and activities on topics of common interest. The agreement calls for special cooperation in relation to the COP28 Summit, which the UAE will host in about two months.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali welcomed the signing of this agreement. He praised the role of the Information and Decision Support Center, which enjoys a prestigious research and intellectual position. He said that TRENDS Research and Advisory is pleased to cooperate with the IDSC, where common visions serve the dissemination of knowledge and participation in making the future in line with the principles of tolerance, human fraternity and the rejection of extremism and hatred. He added that this agreement is another product of TRENDS' keenness to strengthen research and scientific partnerships with major research and intellectual institutions and centers in the region and beyond. He indicated that the Information and Decision Support Center is one of the distinguished think tank institutions in Egypt.

Mr. Osama El-Gohary expressed his pleasure at signing this agreement with TRENDS Center which he described as one of the most prominent think tanks. He praised its global vision, the quality of its publications, focused events and sound analyses of the current regional and global developments.

El-Gohary appreciated the effective role played by TRENDS Research and Advisory in supporting the scientific research movement at the regional and global levels. He referred to the conferences, seminars and qualitative lectures organized by TRENDS, that enhance the dissemination of scientific thought and support the research movement on a global scale.

El-Gohary said that TRENDS has become a prestigious global research platform, and a destination for those who look for knowledge that anticipates the future and participates in making it. He stressed that cooperation between the Information and Decision Support Center with TRENDS Center shall support the scientific research movement and consolidate knowledge awareness of regional and global issues. Furthermore, it shall act as a positive tool to educate and promote knowledge about national and global developments and needs.
