TRENDS and Bahrain Institute for Political Development sign an MOU on Research and Knowledge Exchange

TRENDS Research and Advisory signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) to strengthen relations between the two sides in the fields of scientific research and knowledge.  The Two sides shall conduct organization of joint international and regional conferences and seminars.  The MOU shall facilitate the exchange of experts and expertise in the field of training and development, capacity building for researchers from both sides.




The MoU was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, and Ms. Iman Janahi, Executive Director of the (BIPD) Institute, at TRENDS headquarters in Dubai. The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Sheikha Mai bint Sulaiman Al-Otaibi, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development, along with a number of heads of sectors and directors of various departments and sections.

 



Qualifying Young Researchers

Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Mai bint Sulaiman Al-Otaibi, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development, said that the agreement shall enable the two parties to exchange information, experiences, studies and research, which fall in the interest of both parties. Moreover, the agreement shall help in implementing a variety of training courses, workshops, lectures and seminars in various common fields, especially in training young researchers and developing their skills.

Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Mai bint Sulaiman Al-Otaibi pointed out that Bahrain Development Authority is keen to enhance research cooperation with various academic institutions and research centers. This is in line with (BIPD) objectives to spread the culture of democracy, support the concept of sound democratic principles, provide training, studies and research programs related to the constitutional and legal field for various groups.

 



 Supporting Scientific Research

The Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development stated that cooperation with TRENDS will enhance the Institute's role in preparing more programs related to human rights studies and supporting scientific research in the field of political systems. She indicated that cooperation and understanding between the two sides will help them to achieve their common goals, especially in the field of training, development and capacity building. It shall support the exchange of experiences between regional and international institutions and research centers.

 



Strengthening effective partnerships

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, stressed that the signing of the MoU with the Bahrain Institute for Political Development reflects TRENDS' keenness to strengthen meaningful research partnerships with major research and intellectual institutions. Such partnerships are concluded with regional and global institutions.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali added that cooperation with Bahrain Development Center enhances the advancement of the global roles of research centers that contribute to shaping the future. It will promote the role of the new generation of researchers, academics, harness their capabilities and develop their skills.

 



Joint scientific conferences

The CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory explained that the memorandum of understanding also enhances cooperation and coordination between the two sides in areas of common interest, especially in the field of economic studies and strategic research. The two sides rely on independent, objective research and accurate analysis in their research programs. He indicated that the MoU will shall enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of scientific and academic research. It will help TRENDS and the BIPD conduct joint research and studies, exchange experts and researchers, as well as enables them to hold joint research events and conferences.
