UAE-Based Research Institution Visits PSI for Collaboration

In a significant step towards fostering research collaboration, a delegation from TRENDS Research & Advisory, a prominent United Arab Emirates (UAE) based research institution, visited the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) on September 22, 2023.

The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for joint research, research exchange, research visits, conference organization, and other areas of mutual interest.

Led by Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, the CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, the delegation expressed their institution's commitment to contributing to the shaping of the future.

Dr. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali said TRENDS Research and  Advisory institution which is stationed in UAE  aims to contribute to the shaping of the future. It analyzes the geopolitical, economic, and social aspects of regional and global developments in order to better understand the various dimensions of prevailing trends and the opportunities and challenges they present while adhering to international standards in research.

Recognizing the potential for collaboration and synergy between their institutions, Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali and Prof. Beyene agreed to further strengthen their partnership. Both parties expressed their willingness to collaborate on joint research projects, facilitate research visits and exchanges, organize conferences, and explore other avenues for cooperation.

To formalize their commitment, they agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that outlines the framework and areas of collaboration.

The signing of the MOU marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership between TRENDS Research and Advisory and the Policy Studies Institute. The collaboration is expected to enhance research capabilities, promote knowledge exchange, and facilitate a deeper understanding of regional and global developments. With their shared commitment to rigorous research standards and a focus on shaping the future, the collaboration between TRENDS and PSI holds promise for addressing complex global challenges and contributing to evidence-based policy-making.

As both institutions embark on this collaborative journey, they look forward to leveraging their respective strengths and expertise to generate valuable insights and contribute to the advancement of research in their fields.
