TRENDS and Botho Emerging Markets Group signed a research cooperation agreement in Nairobi

TRENDS Research and Advisory signed a research cooperation agreement with Botho Emerging Markets Group. The agreement, which was signed as part of the third leg of TRENDS’ African tour activities, defines relations between the two sides in the fields of scientific research.


The agreement was signed in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, and Mrs. Aparupa Chakravarti, Director, Group Manager in Kenya, in the presence of a number of officials and researchers from both sides.


The agreement aims to enhance research cooperation between the two parties in areas of common interest and achieve their stated goals.  The two sides shall support and conduct original and evidence-based research to serve the community. Research shall support decision-makers and policies, strengthen relations between the two sides and expand the knowledge base. The two sides shall benefit from their mutual expertise in the fields of policy and research.

The MoU shall enhance cooperation and partnership in the fields of knowledge and research provide a formal and legal framework for communication, coordination and cooperation between the two sides to achieve common goals in conducting focused research.


Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali stressed the significance of conducting economic studies in Africa.  He indicated that agreement falls in line with TRENDS' keenness to strengthen effective and meaningful research and scientific partnerships with major research and intellectual institutions, especially at the regional and global levels.

Mr. Issa Kwaku Fokuo, Jr., Group Principal expressed his pleasure at signing this cooperation agreement with TRENDS Research and Advisory, which he described as the most active research center in the region. He appreciated TRENDS’ great interest in exploring events in the African continent.


He said that the agreement will allow the exchange of information, experiences, studies and research, in the interest of both parties.
