The TRENDS Research and Advisory Stand received remarkable crowd of visitors
from different nationalities, during the Center’s participation in the Frankfurt
International Book Fair 2023, which concluded on Sunday.
The visitors were briefed about
TRENDS' research output and new publications that provide forward-looking
analysis and insights on various global issues and developments. The visitors were
acquainted with the nature of TRENDS' visionary work and its role in supporting
researchers and academics.
Over the course of four days, the
TRENDS stand received many dignitaries, most notably His Excellency Sheikh
Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture and Youth and His Excellency
Ahmed Al Attar, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Federal Republic
of Germany.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO
of TRENDS Research and Advisory, expressed his pleasure at participating in the
Frankfurt International Book Fair, which he described as one of the most
important international book fairs. Dr. Al-Ali stressed that TRENDS is keen to keep
its regular attendance of this major annual international exhibition to
introduce its research output and enhance communication with various actors in
the field of knowledge and publication industry.
Dr. Al-Ali added that TRENDS
participated in the exhibition with more than 200 titles and a number of
publications translated into 16 different languages. He said the collection of
books covered various fields and topics, including politics, economics, social
sciences, international affairs and political Islam.
The TRENDS Stand at the Frankfurt
International Book Fair 2023 has seen a range of events and activities,
including two panel discussions and dialogue on climate action and the role of
the media in promoting sustainability. Moreover, the events covered the issue
of coexistence, tolerance and the role of youth in this respect. TRENDS
officials and researchers had the opportunity to meet with researchers and
academics.
The Frankfurt International Book
Fair is the world's largest and oldest book fair, with more than 7,000
exhibitors from 100 countries around the world and offered more than 300,000 book
titles.
