Research and Advisory has signed a memorandum of understanding for research
cooperation with The Atlantic Council in Turkey, which is a
renowned global think tank.
The MoU shall enhance cooperation between the two centers in the field of scientific research and strategic studies, including joint research, exchange of information and data and organizing conferences and seminars.
The
MoU was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and
Advisory and Ms. Gretchen Ehle, Chief Financial Officer at the Atlantic Council
in Washington.
Dr.
Al-Ali said that the MoU reflects the commitment of the two centers to enhance
scientific and research cooperation between think tanks in the region. He added
that the center seeks to build strategic partnerships with the most prominent
think tanks in the world. This would strengthen the Center's role in providing
accurate knowledge and analysis of regional and international issues.
Ms. Gretchen Ehle said that the MoU opens new horizons for cooperation between the two centers in the field of scientific research and strategic studies. She added that the Atlantic Council in Turkey seeks to strengthen cooperation with intellectual institutions in the region to enhance mutual transfer of knowledge and exchange of experiences.
The
MoU includes different areas of cooperation between the two sides. They include
joint research projects on regional and international issues, strategic studies,
such as public policy analysis, economic studies, trade, investment and socio-economic
development. The two sides shall conduct joint research on other social issues,
including education, health and the environment.
The Atlantic Council in Turkey is one of ten regional branches for the main headquarters in Washington. It is an influential research institution in the field of international affairs, providing high-level discussion forums to address critical issues by politicians, businessmen, and global thinkers.
TRENDS
signed a cooperation agreement with the Atlantic Council in Washington in
September 2021 to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the fields of
scientific research. The two sides has
since organized joint research events, and organized two conferences. The third
conference will be organized at the beginning of next December. It will focus
on climate issues in light of the COP28 summit, which shall be held in the UAE.
It
is noteworthy that TRENDS Research and Advisory Center has signed about 200
agreements, memorandums of cooperation and partnerships with research and
intellectual centers, academic institutions and public agencies, operating at
the local, regional and international levels.
