TRENDS Research and Advisory launched its pavilion at the Global Media Congress 2023, as a research partner for the second edition.
The global media event is being held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre with the participation of media leaders, thought leaders, experts and specialists in the media sector from around the world.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, visited the Trends pavilion where he was briefed on the Centre's research publications, major activities and events at the Global media Congress, including the TRENDS podcast service.
Sheikh Nahyan praised the efforts of TRENDS Research and Advisory to spread the values of tolerance and coexistence.
The pavilion was also visited by H.H. Sheikh Hasher bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, in addition to a crowd of media professionals and participants in the Global Media Congress and Exhibition.
The first episode of the TRENDS podcast at the Global Media Congress, hosted Kuwaiti journalist Mohammed Al-Mulla, founder and director of the Diwan Al-Mulla. The conversation discussed the main challenges facing the media, including the political, economic, professional or technological aspects.
The Kuwaiti journalist Al Mulla stressed that addressing these challenges requires joint efforts from various stakeholders, including governments, universities, the media and the public.
The Trends pavilion also witnessed two episodes of the "Trends podcast." The two episodes focused on the climate issue in light of the UAE's hosting of COP28. Mai Al-Hajri, consultant in development and strategy, and Dhbaya Al Qubaisi, Emirati diplomat at the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reviewed in two separate episodes, the major climate-related issues, discussed ways to adapt to climate change, and highlighted the Arab Global efforts in the field of climate action.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends and Advisory, said in a statement, "We are pleased to launch our pavilion at the Global Media Congress, for the second year consecutively. He stressed that the Congress is an important platform for exchanging ideas and visions about the future of media. Dr. Al-Ali said “we are committed to support the relevant efforts to promote dialogue and communication between different cultures, and we believe that media has an important role in this regard."
Dr. Al-Ali stressed the significant role of the Global Media Congress in promoting the media sector and foreseeing its future. He expressed his pleasure at Trends participation in the activities of the GMC's second edition as a research partner, where the Centre will deliver a range of events and display research studies on several topics.
On the sidelines of their participation in GMC, Trends Research and Advisory and Hattlan Media signed a research and media cooperation agreement. The agreement provides for cooperation between the two sides in the fields of media research and training programs, exchange of media consultations, and the implementation of joint activities, such as seminars and conferences.
The partnership aims to enhance the quality and innovation efforts in research and media, and to build a strategic partnership between research and media institutions in the region.
