TRENDS Research and Advisory participated in the nineteenth edition of the "Manama Dialogue" conference, organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in cooperation with Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Manama, in the presence of about 450 participants from about 40 countries.
Three
researchers, Aisha Al Balushi, Najla Al Zarooni, and Alaa Ibrahim, represented
TRENDS at the three-day conference. They attended several plenary sessions on
various topics, including war, diplomacy and de-escalation, navigating global
competition, capabilities and strategy, new initiatives for regional peace, new
energy security policies, and the future of the Middle East.
Trends
three researchers stressed that the "Manama Dialogue" was an
opportunity to meet with many thinkers, researchers and officials in the field
of strategic studies and international relations, where ideas and experiences
were exchanged, and the prospects for research cooperation was discussed.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, issued a statement on the occasion in which he expressed his pleasure at Trends participation in the "Manama Dialogue" conference. He stressed that the participation of the three researchers was distinguished, and falls within Trends' strategy to empower young people, refine their skills and promote scientific research.
He said that the Trends Research and Advisory is participating in the conference for the third year. He described the conference as was one of the most prominent international forums that discuss many issues and events of interest to the Middle East region and the world. This confirms the significance of this global gathering and reflects Trends' keenness on a qualitative and effective presence in such forums. The Manama Dialogue forum provides an opportunity to build effective partnerships with international institutions and bodies in the field of scientific research and strategic studies, which strengthens our efforts to disseminate scientific research and knowledge output.
