Lithuanian Ambassador to the UAE stresses the importance of scientific research in enhancing international cooperation

Trends Research and Advisory hosted His Excellency Ramunas Davidonis, Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the UAE, in a dialogue session on scientific research and its role in enhancing international cooperation. The discussion covered issues of anticipating events, and providing balanced insights that help address emerging challenges.

The event was attended by Gabriele Niekyte, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Lithuania and a number of researchers. Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory, welcomed the Ambassador of Lithuania, and gave a briefing about Trends, and the nature of the scientific studies and research. He expressed his aspiration to cooperate with research and think tanks in Lithuania. The Ambassador welcomed Dr. Al-Ali’s remarks and praised Trends Center’s research efforts. He said that he has been following the Center’s research work with great interest.

The Ambassador of Lithuania stressed the importance of research centers in disseminating correct knowledge, understanding international issues, and building bridges of cooperation between nations. He said that research centers provide valuable studies and research that contribute to understanding international issues and building bridges of cooperation.

Ambassador Davidonis, addressed Trends young researchers, and commended the friendly relations between his country and the UAE. He said that relations between the two countries are strong and distinct, and that there is fruitful bilateral cooperation. The Ambassador stressed that his country is committed to strengthening cooperation in various fields, including scientific research and sustainable development.

During the dialogue session, Ambassador Davidonis gave a brief account of his country and its culture. The session also covered many topical issues, including climate change and digital transformation.

The session stressed the importance of think tanks and scientific research in strengthening international relations, and recommended potential cooperation between Trends Research and Advisory and research centers in Lithuania, including the exchange of experiences, studies and scientific research.  The audience recommended the organization of joint seminars to discuss research and international issues of common interest.
