Trends Research and Advisory and Egypt State Information Service sign a memorandum of strategic cooperation in the fields of research and knowledge

Trends Research and Advisory signed a memorandum of cooperation and strategic partnership with Egypt State Information Service, affiliated to the Presidency of the Republic of Egypt. The agreement shall enhance cooperation in the fields of research and knowledge, support scientific exchange and promote research projects in various fields of common interest. It expands Trends’ outreach and develops strategic partnerships regionally and internationally,

The memorandum was signed by Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the Trends Research and Advisory, and by Mr. Diaa Rashwan, Chairman of Egypt State Information Service, at the headquarters of the Authority in Cairo. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of heads of sectors and directors of departments from both sides.

The MoU seeks to enhance prospects for joint cooperation and steer scientific efforts through the exchange of information, data and experiences. The agreement shall assist both sides to benefit from the stock of information, data, policy papers and studies produced by the two parties. The two institutions shall conduct joint research projects, and provide support for the success of knowledge programs and initiatives aimed at supporting the research community.

 

Strategic intellectual system

Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory, said that cooperation with the Egyptian State Information Service reflects Trends' keenness to enhance scientific research cooperation. The agreement shall boost the concerted efforts and promote coordination between the two research and intellectual institutions. It recognizes the active role and valuable contributions made by the State Information Service. Dr. Al-Ali added that this partnership contributes to building a comprehensive and integrated strategic intellectual system to face regional challenges and develop systematic solutions to overcome them.

Dr. Al-Ali indicated that the MoU focuses on enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the field of qualitative studies and strategic research, which depends on objective research and accurate analysis. The agreement shall enhance joint cooperation in the field of joint research projects and exchange of experts and researchers. Moreover, the two sides shall hold joints events, research, conferences and panel discussions.

The CEO of Trends praised the continuous efforts of Egypt State Information Service in supporting the scientific research community with political, media and social studies. The Egyptian agency issues periodic publications, reports and research papers on regional and international issues. It conducts studies and reports covering emerging developments, ideas and visions on various issues.

 

Unique Model

Journalist Diaa Rashwan, Chairman of the Egyptian State Information Service, stressed the significance of integrating the roles between institutions, bodies and think tanks in supporting decision-makers with accurate research and objective analyses of various regional and international issues. He indicated that signing the memorandum of cooperation between the State Information Service and Trends Research and Advisory is important because Trends has become a a unique model for active and purposeful think tanks work at the regional and global level.

Rashwan stated that since 2019, Trends has made many qualitative scientific and research achievements. The Center has become one of the most important global think tanks, due to the accuracy, objectivity and professionalism of its research output. In addition, Trends ensured the diversity and richness of its research programs. In fact, Trends keeps abreast with rapidly emerging events within the region and beyond.

The Chairman of the Egyptian State Information Service indicated that the areas of cooperation between the two parties will not be limited to research fields, but shall include training of young researchers. He said the agreement shall open opportunities for the exchange of experts, academics and accumulated experiences between the two parties. This sort of mutual cooperation shall enrich ideas and the integration of visions. It helps the two sides develop focused research

 products, deliver sound assessments and conduct joint studies that support decision-makers and enhance research momentum at the regional and global level.

Egypt State Information Service is a governmental body affiliated with the Presidency of the Republic of Egypt. It plays its role - as the official media and public relations office of the Egyptian state. The authority explains the Egyptian state's policy in various political, economic, social and cultural fields at the internal and external levels. It defends Egypt’s positions on various issues, and develops citizen awareness and active participation in building their homeland.  Egypt State Information Service promotes the bonds of friendship and close relations between Egypt and the outside world. The authority is the Egyptian state's public relations apparatus. It is a center for political and media studies, and an information bank, and a major publishing house for culture and knowledge.
