01-January-2024

Trends Research and Advisory has released a new study entitled "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving Healthcare", which examines the role of artificial intelligence in improving the performance of this sector.

The study, conducted by Dr. Siham El-Mourad, a professor of computer science at Cairo University, highlighted three main areas that artificial intelligence can contribute to improve healthcare: diagnosis, treatment, and management.

The author explained that artificial intelligence can be used in the field of diagnosis in analyzing huge amounts of medical data more quickly and accurately than humans, which can help doctors diagnose diseases with high accuracy and greater speed.

Dr. Siham indicated that artificial intelligence can develop new treatments for diseases, or improve the effectiveness of existing treatments. In the field of management and administrative work, artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in automating administrative tasks in healthcare, which can save time and optimize resource management for healthcare workers.

The study focused on the challenges facing the use of AI in healthcare. It referred to the need to develop ethical and legal standards that ensure the use of AI in a responsible manner, such as protecting patients' privacy, and ensuring that they are not being discriminated against in medical service.

The author explained that other challenges facing the use of AI in healthcare include the need for more data and training, and the need for AI to be user-friendly and easily explained.

The study concluded that despite these challenges, AI has the potential to bring about significant positive change and revolutionize healthcare, which can lead to improved health and well-being of individuals.

The study recommended the need to increase investment in AI research in healthcare, and to establish ethical and legal standards to ensure the use of AI responsibly.
