Trends Research and Advisory ends Research tour in Geneva Stresses the significance of think tanks, scientific research and strengthens its global partnerships

Trends Research and Advisory concluded a series of research dialogues in Geneva, Switzerland with three think tanks: the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations (GSD), headed by Dr. Colum Murphy, the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR), headed by Dr. Adam Day, and the Global Cities Hub, headed by Anna Thuy Duan.

Trends researchers discussed with officials of these centers the prospects for joint cooperation in the field of scientific research. They discussed partnership between research institutions, exchange of experiences and visions, developing scientific research capabilities, and supporting sustainable development efforts.

In a panel discussion with the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations, Trends researchers discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of international relations and diplomatic affairs. The two sides discussed organizing joint seminars and workshops on issues of common interest, and providing training opportunities for students and researchers from both sides.

Dr. Colum Murphy, President of the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations, said: "We are delighted to seize this opportunity to collaborate with TRENDS Research and Advisory, one of the leading institutions in the field of strategic studies. We look forward to work with the Centre in various fields that achieve common goals."

Trends researchers discussed with the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR), prospects for cooperation in the field of studies, training and conducting opinion polls.

Dr. Adam Day, Head of the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR), said: "We are pleased to collaborate with TRENDS because of its long experience in the field of studies and research, and its ability to deliver insightful studies on regional and international issues."

The two sides held a joint panel discussion with the Center on Global Cities. They discussed the role of scientific research in anticipating and analyzing events, as well as relevant opportunities for cooperation between the two sides.

Anna Thuy Duan, Co-Director of Global City Hub, said: "Scientific research is an important tool for cities in facing future challenges, helping to develop innovative solutions and improve the quality of life.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory, commented on the discussions with these seven think tanks. He stressed the importance of research cooperation between specialized institutions, as it represents an opportunity to exchange experiences and visions, enhance research capabilities, and support sustainable development efforts.

Dr. Al-Ali said: "Trends is keen to cooperate with leading research institutions, in order to achieve its strategic objectives and strengthen its position as a leading research institution in the region and beyond."

Dr. Al-Ali added that these research dialogues represent an important step in enhancing research cooperation between Trends and international research institutions. The meetings support scientific research, promote knowledge and help sustainable development.

Trends researchers have also conducted similar research dialogues with four global institutions and think tanks in Geneva. These include the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Geneva Policy Centre (GCSP), the Geneva Centre for Governance (DCAF), and the Geneva International Peace Research Institute (GIPRI).

TRENDS researchers also participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos, and the annual meeting of the Greek House Davos Foundation. TRENDS organized a research round table in cooperation with the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance for Global Ethics, entitled "For the consolidation of tolerance and world peace... Intellectual Visions", in which leaders of international research and think tanks participated.
