Dubai
Municipality has signed a cooperation agreement for research, studies and
consultancy services with Trends Research and Advisory. This strategic
cooperation aims to enhance the efforts of both parties in specialized research
and studies on health, safety and environment (HSE). The two sides shall
conduct field surveys and opinion polls that measure the levels of public satisfaction,
in addition to providing advisory services in the field of preparing research,
analysis and situation assessments.
The
agreement was signed on behalf of Dubai Municipality by Eng. Alya AlHarmoodi, Acting
Executive Director of the Environment, Health, and
Safety Establishment in Dubai Municipality, and Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al
Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory. The signing ceremony was held at
Dubai Municipality headquarters, in the presence of a number of officials from
both sides.
The agreement shall enhance cooperation in the field of developing research and innovations in areas of common interest. Moreover, the two parties shall organize workshops, discussion panels, programs and training courses that benefit from the accumulated experiences of both parties.

Alya AlHarmoodi stressed that cooperation with research institutions has become
an urgent necessity. This sort of cooperation enables the two sides to benefit
from mutual research expertise, access to database and exchange of information.
Moreover, both sides shall benefit from the studies, recommendations, analyses
and consultations provided by research centers based on scientific standards
and accurate information. The areas of cooperation will be implemented through
specialized departments of Dubai Municipality such as the Health and Safety
Department, which has set a number of objectives and programs to implement this
partnership and improve the strategic indicators.

Alya AlHarmoodi praised the strategic cooperation between Dubai Municipality
and Trends Research and Advisory, which she praised as “an independent research
institution.” She indicated that cooperation between the public and private
sectors supports building a sustainable knowledge economy that reflects the
vision of the UAE, and serves the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, especially in the
economic, environmental and sustainability fields.
Dr.
Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory, stressed that
the signing of the cooperation agreement with Dubai Municipality serves the
orientations of both parties. It achieves their goals of supporting scientific
research, and harnessing it to serve the community, support policymakers to
make sound decisions, based on objective data.
Dr. Al-Ali stated that the areas of cooperation
between Trends and Dubai Municipality include conducting joint research in the
fields of sustainability, environment, health and safety. Other areas of
cooperation include governance, exchange of experiences, and mutual access to databases
and information. The two sides shall hold joint scientific and research events,
including conferences, seminars, discussion panels, workshops and lectures.
