Canadian expert speaks in a panel discussion at Trends Research and Advisory Stresses the role of scientific research in exploring events and addressing challenges

Trends Research and Advisory hosted a panel discussion with Andrea Schoenauer, an expert and political affairs officer at the Embassy of Canada in Abu Dhabi. The Canadian diplomat spoke about areas of joint research cooperation in various areas, including political, economic, trade, energy and the environment.

The panel was attended by a number of Trends researchers and experts.  Schoenauer discussed the prospects for cooperation and enhancing the important role of scientific research. She stressed that foreseeing events through research provides clear visions that help develop solutions and face challenges in a constructive scientific manner.

Schoenauer expressed her appreciation for Trends Research and Advisory invitation, and said the discussion was an opportunity to exchange views on the prospects for cooperation.

Mr. Awad AlBreiki, Head of Trends Global Sector, stressed the Center's keenness to enhance research cooperation with various international bodies, including research centers in Canada. The aim of this effort is to exchange experiences and visions, and deliver constructive contributions to address common challenges.

Al-Braiki expressed his hope for research cooperation between the two sides. He indicated that Trends has extensive experience in the field of scientific research. The Center is one of the most reputable think tanks in the region. He said: “Trends delivers high-quality research studies and reports that address various political, economic and strategic issues”.
