TRENDS Research and Advisory Center and the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments reviewed ways to activate their partnership. The two parties discussed the possible mechanisms to enhance research cooperation and serve the community. They considered aspects of anticipating events and analyzing them with documented objective visions.
Dr. Mohammed Matar Salem AlKaabi, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments received a delegation from Trends, headed Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the TRENDS Research and Advisory at the Authority’s Headquarters. The delegation included a number of officials and Trends researchers. The Two sides exchanged their thoughts about scientific research and its role in disseminating correct knowledge and values.
A dialogue was held between the two institutions, which was attended by a number of officials from both sides, young researchers and experts. The discussion focused on the fields of knowledge and research. They reviewed the necessity for activating their joint partnership in order to achieve their common goals of supporting relevant scientific research. They discussed the tools for confronting deviant thought and hate speech. The two sides expressed their keenness to promote the values of tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity.
They also focused on areas of cooperation between the two sides, especially in conducting opinion polls and surveys, joint research projects and exchange of researchers. Moreover, they considered the possibility of organizing joint scientific and research events and exchanging publications. They discussed cooperation in organizing training programs aimed at developing the skills of young people and empowering them with credible research tools.
His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Matar Salem Al-Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, stressed the authority’s keenness to enhance cooperation with TRENDS Center. He said the Center has become a pioneer scientific research platform locally, regionally and globally. He praised TRENDS Center for its proactive initiatives that envision the future and keep abreast with the general progress that the UAE is witnessing in various fields.
HE Dr. AlKaabi indicated that cooperation with TRENDS Center, which develops the research skills of young people, is a model and an opportunity to advance the field of research and studies that serve the community. It contributes to the development of the intellectual and cultural talents, and enhance their innovative capabilities. It empowers and develops their career prospects for a prosperous future. HE Dr. AlKaabi said that the authority, in line with its strategic plan, activates communication channels with the relevant institutions to enlighten the community. The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowment promotes the bonds of cooperation, and communication with all relevant institutions to deliver a sound message of tolerance. He said the Islamic Authority has a strong commitment towards the significance of scientific research as a tool for achieving the prosperity of nations and humanity as a whole.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali stressed that TRENDS Center’s global outlook is keen to open up to all institutions, bodies and centers at the domestic, local, regional and global levels. TRENDS shall cooperate with these institutions to address the successive developments and emerging challenges in the world. Such rapid challenges require more cooperation to build accurate scientific perceptions.
Dr. Al-Ali also expressed his aspiration to activate the partnership with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, which opens new horizons for research cooperation during the next phase. He said that this partnership delivers knowledgeable research product that serves the local community and beyond.
