TRENDS and Dubai Police Security Media discuss cooperation in Media and Research

TRENDS Research and Advisory and the Security Media Department at the Dubai Police General Headquarters discussed prospects for research and media cooperation between the two sides. The meeting discussed the means to support prospects for knowledge promotion, achieve common goals and develop cooperation in the fields of publishing, surveys and social media.

 

 

 

 

The discussion was held during a visit by a delegation from the Security Media section of Dubai Police headed by Ms.  Manal Ibrahim, Director of Security Media at Dubai Police. The audience was attended by Major Khalid Mohammed Al Marri, Head of Social Media section and Major Juma Al-Jallaf, Head of Security and Privacy Section, together with a number of employees. Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the nature of TRENDS' work, especially in research and media. He briefed the visitors about TRENDS’ publications fields of interest, the Center’s departments, especially the global barometer and training.

 

The Dubai Police Media delegation and TRENDS researchers held a focused dialogue on the importance of research centers in producing balanced media and scientific content. The stressed the importance of cooperation between media institutions, think tanks, government agencies and private entities and its effective role in enhancing outputs, disseminating knowledge and delivering work.

 

 

 

 

The dialogue focused on the need for systematic work that can anticipate and envision emerging events with credible insights that contribute to the development of effective solutions. The audience agreed that this approach shall raise awareness and analyze such developments more accurately, using innovative methodology.

 

The two sides stressed the importance of objective research and media in raising public awareness and promoting knowledge in society. The confirmed the need for the integration of roles between the two sides to contribute effectively to the transfer of purposeful knowledge. They expressed their intention to develop strategic planning skills to confront unfolding risks and threats through foresight, training and continuous upgrade of vital tools.

 

 

 

 

The Director of the Security Media Department at Dubai Police praised TRENDS' research efforts and its valuable media contributions. Ms. Manal said that the reputation of the center and its research work confirm the distinguished quality of scientific and knowledge outputs, notably the high level of efficiency and professionalism.

 

She said that TRENDS Center stands out as a reputable regional research Center. Ms Manal praised TRENDS’ global outreach and knowledge-based vision. She specifically lauded the Center’s interest in young researchers, providing them with research job opportunities, qualifying and empowering them to become tomorrow's leaders and builders of the future.
