Said Chaya is an international analyst focusing in Middle East from Latin America. He works as a full-time professor of International Analysis and History of International Relations at Universidad Austral (Buenos Aires, Argentina), where he also leads the Middle East Studies Initiative and the Program on International Conflicts. He is an active member of the Middle East Committee at CARI, the leading think-tank on international relations in Argentina, and also contributes with the Department of Middle Eastern Studies of Universidad Nacional de La Plata (La Plata, Argentina) with opinions and projects. Said has intervened with academic articles in local and foreign magazines and books, and opinion columns on radio, TV, newspapers and internet portals. Said holds BAs in Political Science and Education, and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate on International Relations. He has taken graduate courses at the University of Texas in Austin, the American University of Beirut, and the Italian universities of Turin and Trento. Next fall, he will be attending Universidad de Navarra (Spain) as a Visiting Researcher.
