Sumaya holds a Master’s Degree in Environment: Dynamics of Territories and Societies from Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, UAE, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. She is one of the founders of the first Khaleejy Students Union at the University of Minnesota, which associates with the social events of the Arab gulf students.
Sumaya gained experience in the fields of public relations, media, and conferences while working in the governmental sector, where she developed her research skills in the field of media as a local and international News Monitor. Also, Sumaya gained skills in organizing symposiums, lectures, and annual conferences in various fields.
