Claudia Wallner

Non-Resident Fellow, Expert in Security & Terrorism
Claudia Wallner is a Research Analyst in the Terrorism and Conflict Research Group at the Royal United Institute for Defense and Security Studies (RUSI). Her research focuses on P/CVE, with a focus on far-right extremism. Before joining the institute in 2018, she worked as a Research Assistant for the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime. She interned with Chatham House, the Austrian Embassy in London, UNODC, and the OSCE. Claudia holds an MA (Distinction) in Conflict, Security and Development from King’s College London, where her dissertation examined the involvement of non-state armed groups in the Middle East in drug trafficking and the implications of this involvement for conflict resolution. She also holds an MSc in Countering Organized Crime and Terrorism at University College London (UCL), where her dissertation explored the role of masculinity in far-right extremism.
