Leonardo Jacopo Maria Mazzucco is a researcher who focuses on the security affairs of the Gulf region. He is also an analyst at Gulf State Analytics (GSA), a Washington-based geopolitical risk consultancy. Mr. Mazzucco was a visiting researcher at Trends Research & Advisory from September 2021 until February 2022 and worked as a researcher from March 2022 to February 2023.
Mr. Mazzucco has an MA degree in Comparative International Relations from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and an MA degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the Graduate School of Economics and International Relations at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy.
Mr. Mazzucco’s papers have been published by numerous outlets, such as the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington (AGSIW), the Gulf International Forum, The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the Middle East Institute – National University of Singapore (MEI-NUS), and Inside Arabia.
