Giorgio Fruscione is Research Fellow and publications editor at Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI. Before joining ISPI, Giorgio has been living for years in the Balkans, working as freelance journalist for several Italian and international media outlets, like EastWest, Venerdì di Repubblica and Balkan Insight. Since 2010, he has also been deputy director and news correspondent from the Balkans for East Journal. He holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations and Human rights from the University of Padova and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Research and Studies on Eastern Europe from the University of Bologna, with a master thesis on the Yugoslav socialist system of self-management.
