Dr. Ariel González Levaggi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, where he leads the Center for International Studies. He is also Executive Board Member of the regional think tank CRIES and Co-Chair of the Section Asia and the Americas at the Latin American Studies Association (LASA). His research has covered international politics and regional security studies of the Middle East and the Post-Soviet space, and is currently focused on the International Relations of Latin American. He is the author of multiple articles appearing in International Affairs, Third World Quarterly, International Politics and Foro Internacional, among others. He is the author of Confrontational and Cooperative Regional Orders: Managing Regional Security in World Politics (Routledge, 2020) and Great Power Competition in the Southern Oceans: From the Indo-Pacific to the South Atlantic (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023). He held a PhD in International Relations and Political Science from Koç University (Turkey).
